Terms of Service

01Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use the App and to make any purchases within it, including subscriptions and render packs.

02Who we are

ModVision is provided by an independent developer based in the United Kingdom, trading as "ModVision." Any questions, complaints, or claims relating to the App should be directed to support@modvision.app.

03The service

ModVision lets you upload a photo of a vehicle, select modification options, and receive an AI-generated visualisation of those modifications applied to your photo ("Renders"). Renders are computer-generated approximations produced for illustrative purposes only and don't represent an exact or guaranteed outcome of any real-world modification.

04Accounts

You need an account to save Renders, access certain features, and make purchases. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account, and for providing accurate information when creating one.

05Subscriptions & purchases

• ModVision offers free renders, paid subscription plans, and one-time render packs. Current pricing, render allowances, and features for each option are shown in the App at the time of purchase.
• All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. ModVision cannot process cancellations or refunds directly.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's own policies. If a render pack purchase is refunded or reversed by Apple, we may deduct the corresponding number of renders from your balance, including where this results in a negative balance that must be cleared before further renders can be generated.
• Render packs are one-time purchases; unused renders from render packs do not expire while your account remains active (see Section 14 on what happens if you delete your account).
• Subscription plans include a fixed number of renders per allowance period. For Weekly and Monthly plans, the allowance period matches the billing period. For Annual plans, your allowance is granted in monthly instalments across the subscription year rather than all at once, calculated from your subscription start date.
• On Monthly and Annual plans, unused renders from your current allowance period carry over ("rollover") for up to 60 days from the date they were allocated, up to a maximum of 200 rolled-over renders at any time. Each batch of rollover renders expires 60 days after it was allocated regardless of your subscription status. Rollover renders can only be redeemed while you hold an active qualifying subscription. If your subscription lapses, your rollover balance is preserved but unavailable until you resubscribe, and continues to expire on its original schedule. Weekly plans do not include rollover.
• When you generate a Render, we draw first from your current allowance period, then from your oldest rollover renders, then from any render packs you've purchased.
• If a Render fails to generate due to a fault on our side or a failure to save your result, the render used for that attempt is automatically returned to your balance. This doesn't apply where a Render is rejected by our content moderation checks (Section 07), or where you're simply unhappy with a result you received (see Section 08 for how Renders work).
• Prices may change. Changes won't affect an allowance period you've already paid for.

06Content you provide

You retain ownership of any photos you upload. By uploading a photo, you grant ModVision a limited licence to process, store, and use that photo, including sending it to the third-party service providers listed in our Privacy Policy, solely to generate and deliver your Render and operate the App. You confirm you have the right to upload the photo and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

Vehicle types we support

The App is designed for cars, vans, trucks, and SUVs. It isn't designed or intended for motorbikes or other vehicle types. If you upload a photo outside this scope, we'll simply be unable to generate a Render for it. No render is used from your balance, and no action is taken against your account.

Content that isn't allowed

You agree not to upload photos or notes that:

• Contain another identifiable person without their consent
• Are illegal, infringing, sexually explicit, hateful, or otherwise unlawful
• Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or bypass the App's AI systems or content moderation

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly attempt to submit content of this kind. This is separate from, and more serious than, simply uploading an unsupported vehicle type as described above.

07Automated content review

All uploads and generated Renders are automatically screened by the App before and after processing, to check for the issues described in Section 06. We reserve the right to reject any upload or generated Render that fails this review.

If you believe a Render or upload was rejected in error, you can ask us to review the decision by contacting support@modvision.app.

08Renders you generate

Once generated, you may use, save, and share your Renders, including on social media. To the extent any intellectual property rights subsist in a Render, they belong to you, subject to the rights of any third parties (including vehicle manufacturers) reflected in the underlying photo or applied modification (see Section 10).

Renders on the free tier include a ModVision watermark. Renders generated using a Pro subscription allowance or a render pack are exported without a watermark. You agree not to remove, crop out, or otherwise obscure the watermark on free-tier Renders.

Renders are AI-generated approximations and aren't guaranteed to be accurate, achievable, or an exact representation of any real modification. ModVision makes no warranty as to the visual, technical, or aesthetic accuracy of any Render.

Renders aren't advice, and don't indicate that a modification is legal, roadworthy, compliant with MOT requirements, or something your insurer will cover. Some modifications shown in the App, including certain window tint levels, ride heights, and exhaust configurations, may be restricted or illegal to use on public roads in your jurisdiction, or may need to be declared to your insurer. Always check current regulations and speak to your insurer before making any real-world modification.

09Cost estimates

Any cost estimates shown in the App are based on general UK market data and are provided for illustrative purposes only. They are not quotes, do not reflect prices from any specific installer or retailer, and shouldn't be relied on for purchasing decisions.

10Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, branding, and all content we create but excluding your uploaded photos and Renders, is owned by ModVision and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App except as permitted by law.

Vehicle makes, models, and manufacturer names and logos that may appear in your uploaded photos or generated Renders are the trademarks of their respective owners. ModVision isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any vehicle manufacturer.

11Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the App for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems; interfere with the App's operation; use automated means to access the App outside its intended use; or resell or commercially exploit the App without our written permission.

You agree to indemnify and hold ModVision harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your breach of these Terms; content you upload or notes you submit, including any claim that such content infringes a third party's rights or breaches a law; or your misuse of the App. This doesn't affect any liability we can't lawfully exclude, or your own statutory rights as a consumer.

12Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Renders will meet your expectations.

13Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ModVision will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) £50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law. If you're a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection law.

14Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the App, or engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour.

If we terminate your account for violating these Terms, any unused renders, including subscription allowance, rollover, and render pack balances, are forfeited, and we're not obliged to provide a refund. If you delete your account yourself, any unused render pack balance is also lost at that point, since render packs are tied to your account rather than to a specific device.

15Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you're a consumer, you may bring proceedings relating to these Terms in the courts of England and Wales or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of the part of the UK you live in. Nothing in this section deprives you of any protection you're entitled to under the mandatory laws of the country in which you're resident, if different from the United Kingdom.

17App Store additional terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply and take precedence over anything inconsistent elsewhere in these Terms:

1. Acknowledgement. These Terms are an agreement between you and ModVision only, not with Apple. ModVision, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
2. Scope of licence. You're granted a limited, non-transferable licence to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's usage rules.
3. Maintenance and support. ModVision, not Apple, is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App.
4. Warranty. ModVision, not Apple, is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed in these Terms.
5. Product claims. ModVision, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
6. Intellectual property. If a third party claims the App infringes their intellectual property rights, ModVision, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
7. Legal compliance. You represent that you're not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated by the US government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you're not listed on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
8. Developer contact. Our contact details for any questions, complaints, or claims relating to the App are set out in Section 02 above.
9. Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party agreement (for example, your mobile network's data agreement) when using the App.
10. Third-party beneficiary. You acknowledge that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

18General provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ModVision regarding the App. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for any failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control.
